Both builds are damage overtime and probably the only similarity. Cold dot is just as tanky with Aegis/Melding combo 300k ehp possible with 25mil + shaper dps. Cold Dot has way higher single target damage potential with Vortex/Cold Snap. There is no freeze from cold dot.

There are so many cold dot guides out there though. Look up Shakcentral. Then instead of occultist do elementalist. The skill progression is the same. Take shaper of storms, then the exposure nodes and finally bastion of elements.Awesome work doing this for everyone. It's not for me, I'm like a 40/40 ssf degenerate, but credit where credits due.
