Ruger replaced the slide stop assembly and now my SR9 appears to be back in perfect working order, but I'm going to be keeping a close …P90 slide is stuck. A new problem on a brand new gun. Now it's the slide. With the slide locked back, load a mag into the well, the slide releases and loads the chamber all on its own. Given the same level of recoil, a shorter slide needs a stronger recoil spring. The reason the Shield EZ models are easier to rack is that they have longer barrels, and therefore longer recoil springs; hence they are lighter springs.
