Some of the behavior suggests a battery problem and I note you replaced the battery and the engine started and ran a bit but then died. If it's been done, look for the relay that is externally wired and it should be forward of the box, just aft of the right headlight on the frame. Edit: NVM Im thinking of fuel pump relay, sorry.
