Remember that at it's core the magus is a martial class. It can be built as a controller caster. As a staff magus you only get light armor so you need some DEX but a staff can't be finessed so you need STR for hit/dmg. Also you don't care as much about crits as other magi so shocking grasp losses some appeal.That is the biggest hurdle for this build imo. You won't be a full gunslinger, so won't have your way reload until later levels to help even out your action economy. And Magus in general is already pretty action starved. My overall build goal is the overused by classic Tangible Dream psychic multiclass to get Imaginary Weapon, and because I really like Psychic flavor wise and was in-between Magus and Psychic to play. That all being said, I've got a solid idea of what feats to take at later levels, but I'm struggling to decide what 2nd level Magus feat to take. Use Mobility 2 +spell dance+ blue movement maneuver to clear the mobs, after that focus stronger enemies by using dimension strikes+spell combat+ force strike. You can dip into crossblooded sorcerer early to get conversion to cold and later bloodline ascendance or take mythic lightning. A spell storing weapon is also very useful for such a build. And then build a crit-fishing build. A 15-20 crit with Shocking Grasp attached is very mean, especially if you take Critical Focus eventually. With Spell Combat you can have Shocking Grasp attached to your first attack every round.The Magus has the following characteristics: Primary attributes: Dexterity and Intelligence.
